Dr. Trent Cluny, OD
Managing Director, Optometrist

Dr. Cluny grew up in Evanston and graduated from Evanston High School in 1998. He attended Pacific University College of Optometry where he graduated with distinction in 2009. While there, he served as a member of the student council and worked as an interpreter in the University’s Vision center. He was a member of the Optometric Honor’s Society.

After graduation, he worked in clinical research and studied pre and post-operative LASIK care. He then joined an optometry practice in Olympia, Washington where he practiced for 10 years, before finding a welcome opportunity to move back to his home town. While in Washington, he was actively involved with the local chamber of commerce and volunteered  at a community clinic providing no-cost vision exams in English and Spanish for uninsured community members.

Dr. Cluny is married to Hanni and they have three children that they are happy to raise here in Evanston. He has become a board member of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, given presentations to UCSD #1’s Transportation Department, and enjoyed meeting so many people in the community.

Erika, Optician

Erika began working at Uinta Eye and Vision in the spring of 2022. Erika was born and raised in Evanston and has one daughter. Erika loves working with people. She enjoys helping each person who comes in pick glasses that they will love, because, as she says, glasses are an everyday accessory.  She has studied the different lenses available as well as which lenses suit patients’ lifestyles.

Erika often starts by sizing a patient to determine which size of glasses will give them the best viewing area with the fewest distortions.  She can recommend options based off of preferences and any difficulties a patient may have experienced in the past.  She also is experienced in ordering safety glasses for patients who need them for work.
