Dr. Trent Cluny, OD
Managing Director, Optometrist

Dr. Cluny grew up in Evanston and graduated from Evanston High School in 1998. He attended Pacific University College of Optometry where he graduated with distinction in 2009. While there he served as a member of the student council and worked as an interpreter in the University’s Vision center. He was a member of the Optometric Honor’s Society.

He worked in clinical research and studied pre and post-operative LASIK care before joining an optometry practice in Olympia, Washington where he practiced for 10 years, before finding a welcome opportunity to move back to his home town. While in Washington he was actively involved with the local chamber of commerce and volunteered time at a community clinic providing no-cost vision exams in English and Spanish for uninsured community members.

Dr. Cluny is married to Hanni and they have three children that they are happy to raise here in Evanston. He is looking forward to being an active member of the Evanston community.

Marquee, Assistant

Marquee was born in Evanston and has lived here for most of her life. She has 5 children and 6 dogs, and stays very busy. She started working at Advanced EyeCare in the summer of 2021 and continued on with Uinta Eye and Vision in October of 2021, when Dr. Cluny purchased the practice and Dr. Atkinson retired. Marquee has completed some cross-training in the billing and glasses adjusting aspects of an optometry office. She is currently focusing on the technical side, working closely with patients to complete pre-testing before they see Dr. Cluny for the remainder of their examination.

The aspect of work that Marquee likes most is that she can grow in the job. There are so many things to learn and she is excited to go to conferences, study up on eye health, and become a Certified Para-Optometric technician.

Erika, Assistant

Erika  began working at Uinta Eye and Vision in the spring of 2022. Erika has born and raised in Evanston and has one daughter. Erika, like Dr. Cluny, is fluent in Spanish, so if you would prefer to ask questions about your appointment or treatment options in Spanish, she is more than happy to converse in Spanish.

Erika loves working with people. She is currently training as an optician and plans to become certified. She enjoys helping each person who comes in pick glasses that they will love, because as she says glasses are an everyday accessory. She is training to understand the different lenses available and which best suit patients’ lifestyles as well.
